Salvus is led by Joseph M. Shields, Esq., who has had an extensive career in business and politics, advocacy, and the law.  For a decade, Shields served on a bi-partisan basis, as a senior executive and counsel for three governors, Republican Chris Christie and Democrats Andrew Cuomo, and Jon Corzine.

As a highly- trusted state counsel, Shields was relied on for his guidance and problem-solving skills as he stewarded a series of complex matters, agencies, and initiatives.  His work garnered national recognition in the media and awards for innovation.

Shields holds ties across the U.S., at all levels of government and engages a network of experienced practitioners from the law, government affairs, public relations, and industries to secure results quickly and efficiently for clients.  A graduate of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Public Affairs and Temple University’s  Beasley School of Law, he  and his family live in Northern Virginia.
